X Empire Crypto Project Faces Backlash Over Unfair Token Distribution
X Empire Crypto Project Faces Criticism Over Token Allocation
Participants of the X Empire crypto project are upset and criticizing the project after many players were left out of receiving any token rewards. The project said the reason for this was “low participation,” which has angered a lot of its players.
What is X Empire?
X Empire is one of the latest “Play-to-Earn” crypto projects. It runs on Telegram and is powered by the TON blockchain. The project allows players to earn cryptocurrency by playing a game where they engage in activities on the platform. The native token for the game is called $XEMP.
The Token Allocation Problem
On Friday, X Empire started giving out $XEMP tokens based on how much players participated in the game. However, a large number of players who took part in the game were told they wouldn’t get any tokens. When these players checked their game interface, they received an error message saying:
“Unfortunately, your activity in the game was not enough to get the tokens.”
This meant that many players received zero tokens, while only a small group of people were given the $XEMP tokens.
Player Reactions
This decision upset many X Empire players, and they began sharing their frustration online. Some people even tagged Elon Musk on social media, despite him having no connection to the project. Interestingly, the project was once called “Musk Empire” in its early days, which might have caused the confusion.
A popular crypto influencer in Nigeria shared the disappointment of thousands of Nigerian players who were also left out of the token distribution. Many feel that the X Empire team was unfair in how they gave out the tokens.
What’s Next?
The X Empire project is planning an Airdrop event on Thursday, October 24, where more $XEMP tokens will be distributed. On the same day, $XEMP is expected to be listed on major crypto exchanges.
X Empire allows players to earn cryptocurrency by playing a simple tapping game within the platform. However, the recent token allocation issue has caused a lot of frustration in the community.
Let’s see how the situation develops as the Airdrop day approaches.
