Titans vs. Saints: Malik Willis Leads Comeback in 30-27 Win
Titans Beat Saints 30-27 in Preseason Game
The Tennessee Titans won 30-27 against the New Orleans Saints in a preseason game on Sunday. The game featured some exciting plays and a close finish.
Saints rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler played well, throwing a touchdown pass and leading the team to four scoring drives. He said he is working hard to improve and help the team. Rattler completed 7 of 13 passes for 105 yards and threw a 21-yard touchdown to Equanimeous St. Brown.
Titans backup quarterback Malik Willis also had a strong performance, throwing two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter to help his team win. The Titans coach, Brian Callahan, praised Willis for making important throws.
Receiver Samson Nacua, the brother of Rams receiver Puca Nacua, made a memorable play by returning a missed field goal 106 yards. However, he was stopped just short of scoring. Nacua’s return might help his chances of staying with the team when the roster is cut down.
The Titans started the game strong with a touchdown by Tony Pollard and a field goal by Nick Folk. Saints’ quarterback Jake Haener struggled and was sacked during the game, but he also led the team to a field goal.
The game included a moment of silence to honor Ed Daniels, a longtime sportscaster who recently passed away. The Titans also saw cornerback Caleb Farley return to play after a long injury absence.
Injuries during the game included Titans safety Elijah Molden, who was checked for a concussion, and Saints cornerback Rezjohn Wright, who left with a leg injury.
