iPhone 17 Air: Release Date,Apple’s Next Big Innovation
Major iPhone 17 Air Updates: Big Changes Coming in 2025
The iPhone has been evolving for nearly two decades, and while the changes we see today are usually smaller improvements, a new wave of big innovation might be on the way. This information comes from a leaked memo by John Ternus, Apple’s head of hardware.
Exciting iPhone Updates Ahead
A newsletter by Mark Gurman revealed that Apple’s hardware team has promoted three employees to higher positions. One of them, Richard Dinh, is now in charge of the iPhone’s future designs. In his memo, Ternus mentioned that the upcoming iPhone models will be the “most ambitious in the product’s history.” This means Apple is working on some really big changes for future iPhones.
While Apple execs sometimes use strong language to promote their products, this quote seems more important because it was part of an internal memo, making it more serious.
What Could Be Next for iPhone?
Apple usually works on new iPhones years ahead of their release. According to reports, some of the upcoming models could bring major changes. The iPhone 17 Air, expected to come out next year, might be ultrathin and have a new design with just one rear camera, which is very different from what we are used to.
In 2026 or later, Apple might release its first foldable iPhone. This phone would fold from the top down and would have a similar size to current iPhones when fully opened.
These timelines could change, but if they stay on track, we could see some of the biggest iPhone changes in the next two years. And Ternus knows about other exciting updates that are being worked on beyond these models too.
More iPhone Innovations Coming Soon
Besides these big design changes, Apple is also making software improvements with its Apple Intelligence features this year. With these hardware and software changes coming together, it’s clear that the next few years will be an exciting time for iPhone users.
