Arctic Blast to Hit Britain: London Temperatures to Drop Below 15°C This Week"

Britain will face an "Arctic blast" this week, bringing colder weather after a wet weekend. Last week, temperatures were around 20°C in London, but BBC Weather says it will not go above 15°C from Wednesday to Friday.

The "Arctic blast" will bring chilly weather and more rain from Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the Mail. Craig Snell from the Met Office said, “We will see cooler air moving in from the Arctic starting Tuesday and Wednesday. It will be the first autumn chill of the season, with temperatures dropping to the mid-teens during the day, and at night, some places could fall to low single figures.”

Over the weekend, the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for many parts of the country. London had thunderstorms on Sunday morning, causing British Airways to cancel several flights at Gatwick Airport.

The Met Office stated, “Some sunshine may appear in the southeast on Sunday, but more slow-moving thunderstorms are likely. This yellow warning lasts until 6 pm on Sunday, and it could be upgraded to amber if the risk of impact increases.”

The weather agency also said that "fresher" and "cooler" temperatures are expected as the week goes on, and the weather forecast remains "unsettled."
