The Indiana Fever are riding high after winning two of their last three games since returning from the Olympic break. Averaging 90.0 points per game during this stretch, they currently hold the second spot in the WNBA in scoring. Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston have been standout players, with Mitchell scoring 25.3 points per game and Boston dominating the boards, recording at least 15 rebounds in three of her last five games. Boston is also just 19 points away from reaching 1,000 career points.

Despite their strong performance, Indiana fell short in their most recent game, losing 90-80 to the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday. Mitchell and rookie NaLyssa Smith combined for 44 points in that game. Smith also made history, becoming the third player in Fever history to score at least 500 points in a rookie season.

Smith enters Monday's game with 81 made 3-pointers, just four shy of tying Rhyne Howard’s rookie record of 85, set in 2022.

On the other side, the Atlanta Dream have been on a roll, winning three of their last four games. Atlanta, who was 7-17 before the break, has picked up momentum with key victories over the Seattle Storm, Connecticut Sun, and Phoenix Mercury. The Dream’s star trio of Rhyne Howard, Allisha Gray, and Tina Charles have been consistent, each scoring in double figures in the last four games. Guard Jordin Canada has also returned to the lineup after being sidelined since July 2, contributing an average of 11.5 points per game since her return.

Atlanta's latest game was a close one, ending in an 82-80 loss to the Phoenix Mercury on Friday. Gray led the team with 22 points, while Howard, Charles, and Canada combined for 43 points. Charles also made headlines by moving into second place on the WNBA All-Time Scoring List, trailing only Diana Taurasi.

Both teams are eager to continue their strong performances as they face off on Monday night.
