Alabama High School Quarterback Dies After Game Injury
A community in Alabama is very sad after a high school quarterback, Caden Tellier, died from a brain injury he got during his school’s first football game of the season. The injury happened Friday night, and Caden was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Sadly, he passed away the next day.
Caden was 16 years old. The exact details of how he got hurt were not shared.
Caden’s parents shared that their son has now “met Jesus face to face.” They said that Caden was always kind, generous, and loving. Even after his passing, he is helping others by being an organ donor.
Bryan Oliver, the head of the school, said that Caden was a shining light in their school. He was a student, a friend, an athlete, and most importantly, someone who followed Christ. The school community is deeply heartbroken by his loss.
Caden’s family will announce a service for him soon. The school, John T. Morgan Academy, has canceled all activities for the week to mourn his loss.
